*Rachel Breen

Rachel Breen holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from the Evergreen State College in Olympia, WA, and a Master of Fine Arts from the University of Minnesota. Rachel has exhibited widely throughout the Midwest and is a recipient of a Minnesota State Arts Board Grant. She works out of her studio in Northeast Minneapolis. Prior to coming to Anoka-Ramsey, Rachel taught painting, drawing, Portfolio Development, and Introduction to Visual Arts at Normandale Community College, the University of Minnesota, the College of Visual Arts in St. Paul, and Continuing Studies at Minneapolis College of Art and Design. She also taught drawing, painting and cartooning in the Art-ward Bound summer program at St. Paul Academy.

*Mark Lambert

Mark Lambert received his MFA from Brigham Young University and a BFA in Ceramics and Art Education from Utah State University. Mark established the Perpetual Clay Endowed Scholarship, hosted the symposium MN Ceramics: An Evolving Legacy, curated the traveling exhibition Minnesota Potters: Sharing the Fire and directed the accompanying documentary. Additionally he directed Warren MacKenzie: A Potter’s Hands. Mark continues to offer numerous ceramic workshops of nationally recognized artists at ARCC. His work has shown at many venues including the World Ceramic Biennale Korea in Icheon.

*Anthony Marchetti (on sabbatical for the Fall 2016-Spring 2017 school year)

Anthony Marchetti is a Minnesota photographer and photography instructor whose work focuses on how people interact with their urban spaces. Anthony completed a BA at Gustavus Adolphus College and an MFA at the University of Minnesota. A two-time McKnight fellow, two-time Minnesota State Arts Board recipient, two-time Bush Fellowship finalist, and Fullbright Scholar, his work has been exhibited regionally and nationally, including: the Frederick R. Weisman Art Museum; Minnesota Museum of American Art; Minneapolis Institute of Arts, Rochester Center for the Arts; Vermont Center for  Photography; Momenta Art, Brooklyn, New York; SUNY, Fredonia, New York; and the Rayko Photo Center, San Francisco.

*Marko Marian

Marko Marian received his Master of Fine Arts degree from the University of Cincinnati, and a Bachelor of Fine Arts from the Western Michigan University. He joined Anoka-Ramsey Community College Art department in fall of 2007, with Caimbridge as his home campus. Marko’s teaching assignment focuses primarily on two-dimensional media: painting, drawing, 2-D design, watercolor, and art appreciation (seated courses and online). His prior teaching appointments include teaching studio foundation courses and art history survey courses at colleges and universities in: California, North Carolina, Washington, Kentucky and Ohio.

*Laura Migliorino

Laura Migliorino was born in Cleveland, Ohio and grew up in a Southside Chicago suburb. Her Bachelor of Fine Arts is from the School of the Art Institute of Chicago and her Master of Fine Arts is from the University of Minnesota. She teaches at Anoka-Ramsey Community College as a Photography professor. Laura received numerous grants from the Jerome Foundation, several Minnesota State Arts Board grants and various exhibition prizes. Her work is in the permanent collection of the Walker Art Center and the Weisman Museum in Minneapolis. She has exhibited internationally for over 30 years.

*Rick Schneider

Born in Miami, Florida, Rick Schneider received his MFA at the University of Wisconsin. Rick has been working in glass for twenty years. His most recent work is a collaboration with Nikki Vahle on pieces drawing influence from their working class backgrounds, Greek narrative Pottery, and comic book illustration. Their glass sculptures celebrate working class heroes, as well as the everyday and sometimes mundane activities of life in a sentimental, satirical, and irreverent manner. Their collaborative works have been shown throughout the United States, appeared in American Craft, Glass, American Style, and Neus Glass magazines and was recently included in the Museum of Art and Design’s permanent collection .Rick has taught Glass at the University of Wisconsin Madison, Virginia Commonwealth University and Salisbury University. He taught sculpture and 3D design at the University of South Alabama. Rick joined the art faculty at ARCC in 2012.

Aaron Dysart

Aaron Dysart grew up in the western suburbs of Minneapolis and started to take classes at the Minnetonka Center for the Arts at an early age, continuing through high school. Receiving his BFA in sculpture from The University of Montana with a minor in philosophy, he later studied at the University of Minnesota, receiving his MFA in 2002. Aaron has received fellowships from Public Art St. Paul and the Jerome Foundation through Franconia Sculpture Park and recently received a grant through Forecast Public Art to construct a rowboat out of soap to be rowed on the Mississippi. Dysart has a strong interest in cross-disciplinary research participating in Public Art St. Paul’s revolutionary program Hunting and Gathering Walks in which he lead walks with scientists along the Mississippi river to generate dialog and new solutions to old problems. Aaron has taught at various schools throughout the metro area including: The University of Minnesota, The College of Visual Arts, Macalester College, and the Minneapolis College of Art and Design. He has also worked in multiple art fabrications hops whose clients included the American Museum of Natural History, The Field Museum, Sea LIfe Aquarium, Cebela’s, and the Minnesota Historical Society. Aaron has exhibited nationally and has work in multiple collections. He is now producing work and living in Minneapolis.

Jessica Shimek – College Lab Assistant (2D focused, nights and weekend hours)

Jessica received her Bachelor of Fine Arts degree from the University of Minnesota in 2003. She is primarily a photographer and book artist, focusing on combining printmaking and book making with photography. Her work has been exhibited in many local galleries, and is included in multiple collections including the Frederick R. Weisman Museum, The Minnesota Historical Society, The Hennepin County Library, Loews Hotel, and other private collections.

Erick Wiger – College Lab Assistant (3D focused, day time hours)

Erick has been hanging out in Community College art studios since he was 12 years old. He has studied architecture as well as extensive coursework in ceramics, glass and sculpture. He holds a B.A. from Luther College and a Certificate of Architecture rom Minneapolis Community and TEchnical College. Erick has shown his work widely in southern Minnesota.
